How I Clean My House With Norwex: Bathroom
Since I started to use Norwex products, I have found my cleaning routine to much so much more efficient. Let me tell you, if I can continually find ways to be more “efficient” in life, I am going to venture down that road. Living an organized life means finding ways to save time and money. Why whip out a cleaning bucket that has a specific bottle for each fixture when you can take just a few items into the room and be done in half the time?
I want to share a series with you called “How I Clean My House With Norwex: (Specific Room)”. I think one thing that people are unsure about with Norwex products is how to use them to their fullest potential, while being PRACTICAL. Yes, it’s great to have all of these cleaning products, but if you don’t know how to use them on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, they sit unused in the cupboard. That is why I want to share with you ideas on how to make the most of your Norwex products. I will admit I do not own every single Norwex product out there, but I do admit that I would like to because I think they are that worth it!
How I Clean My House With Norwex: BATHROOM
- Sink: Clean off build-up using the cleaning paste, wipe with a damp Enviro Cloth. Clean fixtures with Enviro Cloth (use descaler if needed) and finish by wiping down with a Window Cloth
- Countertop: Wipe down all places with a damp Enviro Cloth (rinse as needed). Use the Norwex Dusting Mitt to lift and remove dust from any items.
- Mirror: Wipe with a damp Enviro Cloth and then wipe and finish with the Window Cloth.
- Toilet: The Sanira System works great to get those stains out, while giving it a good shine. You can also you the Blue Diamond All-In-One Cleaner
- Bathtub/Shower: Spray with Descaler (good for removing soap scum, lime, calcium, and rust stains) and let sit for 5-10 minutes. Wipe with damp Enviro cloth before Descaler is dry. For those difficult spots, use cleaning paste (do not use on brushed nickel, brushed stainless steel, or acrylic) and the bathroom scrub mitt.
- Floor: Using the Dry Superior Mop Pad, sweep clean. Then follow with the blue Wet Mop Pad for a superior cleaning. If tough spots still remain, use the cleaning paste and the Spirisponge to wipe away any grime and dirt.
That is how to clean your bathroom with Norwex products. Let me remind you too, Norwex’s mission is to “improve quality of life by radically reducing the use of chemicals in personal care and cleaning.” I couldn’t agree with that statement more, the more I use their products! I have the enviro cloth and the window cloth and I have loved using them, but haven't felt like it was getting my tub super clean (I chalked it up to super dirty little boys who fill the tub with sand and dirt almost every night). So glad you wrote this post–now I need to order the descaler, and maybe the mop! 😉
Hi Amanda! Always good to hear from you! I always feel we think along the same wave lengths :). I have heard that a combo of the cleaning paste and descaler are great too for those REALLY tough stains. And the mop, I just can't say enough about it! Definitely worth it! I look FORWARD to mopping – odd, but it's true! I would definitely recommend the items you mentioned! Thanks for your comment Amanda and hope you are doing well!
I just got the descaler and haven't used it yet. The step by step instructions are a help /motivator to give it a try on my tub. Thanks!
Hey Betsy! The descaler is a must I would say! Also, I hear when you combine it with the cleaning paste, it is an amazing stain remover in the bathroom! Goodbye Ajax and dollar store cleaners! Don't you just love Norwex :)?
Do you use the SAME enviro cloth throughout the whole bathroom clean? Does it not transfer the germs etc. from one thing (i.e. the toilet) to the sink if you use only one?
You sure can! It does NOT transfer germs, as the fibers are 1/200 the size of a hair. I do clean my sink and shower first, then my toilet though. It's a mental thing, even though it DOES NOT transfer germs 🙂
I can completely see where you are coming from! It truly does not transfer (have you seen the raw chicken/enviro cloth demo before? If not, check out youtube), but for me it's just a mental thing. I have heard others say the same, but I know others too, that do toilets first and everything after, but it REALLY WORKS. After I am done cleaning, I rinse it out, and let it hang dry. I wash my every few weeks. And it doesn't STINK! It is so hard to believe, but it really does wonders. Let me know if you have any more questions Jill! I am MORE than happy to answer them! Or if you need more clarification on something, let me know. Thanks Jill!
