Jesus Changed Everything
Happy Easter!
I almost struggle saying “happy” because oh the emotions go so much deeper than “happy”, don’t they? When you really think about what Christ has done and everything he did, “happy” just doesn’t cut it. But I’m not sure we have words to fully express our humble gratitude for what he’s done!
Have you ever considered how your life would be different if Easter didn’t happen? What your faith routine would look like? Hello sacrifices! I don’t know about you, but our yard isn’t big enough for a herd of animals to kill and sacrifice. Not trying to make light of what God required in the Old Testament, but have you ever put yourselves in their shoes? What if we were the ones living waiting for a King? What if we were the Israelites, waiting and wandering? What if?
And yet we are not. We have the eternal hope, the joy, the peace, the GIFT of Jesus Christ, who paid for our sins, once and for ALL. The One people were waiting for, for centuries.
Christ’s sacrifice has offered us a new way to carry life. A life free of sacrfices – His was once and for all. A life free from discontent and distraction – for He is all we need. A life free of the weight of this world – because he has carried it all for us. What are you still carrying that is holding you back? Christ has paid it all.
With Easter week upon us, and now at the “end” (though I personally feel it never ends, the joy and celebration should always be there), how has your life changed? Has it changed? If Jesus walked in your shoes, in your circumstances, in your life, how would He walk?
Easter changes EVERYTHING. How we live. How we live out our faith. How we practice our faith. How we live for the not yet. How we have a hope that this world needs to hear about.
Today, this coming week, and for years to come, let’s live like Jesus changed everything. Because that, He did.
