Keep A Clock and Radio In Bathroom
Tip #24 – Keep a Clock and Radio in Your Bathroom
Being late is NOT a good way to start your morning! Keep tabs on your time by keeping a clock in your bathroom. Set times for yourself; for example, put on makeup for a certain amount of time. When the time is up, you are done. Same for your hair. Also, listening to the radio or a cd may start your day off with the right mood – a “ready for the day” mood. What music gets you pumped? What music calms your mind? Whatever is best for YOU, apply it to your daily routine so that you CAN start your day with the BEST YOU.
Kristin’s Action Plan: For years, I have kept a radio and clock in my bathroom. When I do not have a clock (if I am on a trip), I find myself losing track of time. A clock keeps me on time and not rushed because I know my boundaries. Also, listening to a favorite cd or program, encourages me to be the best me for the day. I don’t let my worrying mind get the best of me.
I have a clock in my bathroom, visible from the shower( a cheapie plastic, wall-hanging clock) and its great. But I find that the radio- whether the person is listening to music or to the news, makes my family members move more slowly and linger, so that doesn't work for us( 2 parents+ 5 kids+ everyone better take a quick shower!:)
I never thought of that Polly, that it actually might distract too :). Good point! Especially with the number of people in your home, bathroom time is precious :). Thanks for sharing!
