My 5 Favorite Things On Friday – Edition #7
My 5 favorite things on Friday – Edition #7!
This week I decided to give you a list of some of my favorite GAMES. I am a game-lover. From cards to board games, I have a bit of a competitive side, yet also just sitting around a table with family and friends, over one game. So, here is a list of some of my favorite games. What are YOURS?
Ticket To Ride – This is probably one of my ultimate favorite games. I also have Ticket to Ride Europe, but I have to say I like the original version the most. It is a game of offensive and defensive plays (I play offensively), strategy, and a whole lotta nerves! It helps when you have a good pick of route cards, but nevertheless, you can always pick up more! You will LOVE this game!
Ticket To Ride 1910 Expansion Pack – And when you have all the routes memorized and can figure out where people are going, expand the challenge and options by getting the expansion pack! The cards are also bigger, which makes them easier to handle as well. If you are a TTR lover, I definitely recommend getting the expansion pack!
Blokus – If you like tetris or any game that connects shapes into a small area, and couple it with strategy, Blokus is for you! You do not have to be “smart” to play this game…you just have to know how to connect corners. That’s it. Always get rid of your “5” pieces first and oh when you get “blocked,” look out! The competitive side of players will come out, with vengeance!
Scrabble – I like word games, but that is also why my husband refuses to play this game with me. Not that I am “that good,” but Scrabble is one of those games where either those big words come to mind or they don’t. Another game where luck of the tiles drawn helps, but so does knowing how to play them right (the strategy). Every game is different so if the first one doesn’t go well, well, try again!
Skip-Bo – Dan and I have a running tally of wins, that we started back in Fall of 2012, best of 3. It is a game we play frequently, but then don’t touch it for awhile. But it’s a game you can take anywhere! We take it on vacations always, but will play it at night just us two as well. It is a game that we vow to have the final scores etched into our graves when the day comes! It’s a pretty relaxed game, so if you are looking to just sit back and “mostly” relax, you should try Skip-Bo!
If you have a list of your top 5 favorite things in life, let me know! I’d love to share them!
