New Year, New YOU: Tip #6 – Downsize Hobbies
Tip #6 – Downsize your hobbies.
This may mean a LOT of work…this may mean a little work. How many of us have all the supplies to do a certain project, but have never done it? Or started it, but have not finished it? Believe it or not, hobbies are one of the things that can clutter up our lives the most. Ask yourself if you ever will finish that project and if there is any hesitation, the freedom of NOT having it in your home, will give you much relief. Downsize today, so that you can free yourself up to do the things that mean the most to you.
Kristin’s Action Plan: I recently did this and got rid of MANY projects: fabric scraps, projects I wanted to do but never have found the time for, donated my jewelry making supplies to a good cause, and mentally downsized my own aspirations of being this great crafter. I now enjoy my main hobbies all the more because I feel I have “more” time to do them, as they aren’t cluttered with all the “other” projects: crocheting, scrapbooking, cardmaking, and sewing. I know, that still sounds like a lot, but trust me, the amount of stuff for each of these, is significantly less! I have enjoyed doing my hobbies all the more now that they are downsized!
