One Simple Habit To Keep Your Car Clean
Disclaimer: I fully admit I sometimes forget to do this one habit, so know that no one is perfect!
Do you ever jump into your car, not knowing where to go with anything because there is so much trash and clutter? Especially in the middle, where you’re supposed to be able to set things? Like your water bottle? That extra hair twisty? Those spare coins for Aldi and Sandy at Meijer? What about an ink pen?
The car can be such a catch-all for things, can’t it? Especially trash – eating in the car, drinking your favorite drink, your kids eating that snack in the back, the store receipts…it all can just get piled up.
And I’m just as guilty as charged! But to be completely honest, there is one simple habit that if I stick to it, it promises to keep our van clean from day to day, without having to have “official” clean out the car days. It’s this:
Every time you get out of the car, take everything you brought INTO the car, back out. That means all trash, receipts, bottles, toys, bags, you name it.
Where I park in the driveway, it is right by the garbage can, so I have NO excuse to not dump the things I am done using. And yes, I sometimes forget, but boy does our van stay MUCH cleaner when I apply this rule! I even have Mazy on board! Though I should say too…it always takes a few reminders :).
Your hands might be full, but taking that extra trip may save you hours in the long run!
