Organizing Our Toy Room With ClosetMaid
This post is sponsored by ClosetMaid. I received products in exchange for this post.
The toy room. It is a space in our home that has been a source of frustration for me when it comes to organizing it. Our daughter is at the age where she still uses some of the “bigger” toys that she has grown up with, but is now graduating into toys that involve smaller pieces, such as dollhouses, accessories, etc. Though every time I walk up our stairs to her toy room, I cringe because all I see are toys strewn all over the floor. I knew I had to do something different. That’s when I wanted to give ClosetMaid’s 3-2-1 Cube Organizer a try.
3-2-1 Cube Organizer
The 3-2-1 organizer can be used in any space in the home. For us, the toy room was a perfect place and space. The cubes are finished on all sides, both front and back, so it doesn’t matter which way you put it. It comes in 3 different colors, white, espresso, and dark cherry, which is sure to add a beautiful accent to any room.
What I liked most about this organizer is not only can you store items in each cube, but also on top, to add some extra dimension to the space. Because I am using it in a toy room, I didn’t want to add too many non-toy items, but if using in an office, you could always add flowers, picture frames, and so forth. It was easy to assemble, though the pegs that held it secure, sunk a bit too far and the screws didn’t sink in far enough, so the covers stuck out a bit, but 2 things that could easily be remedied by embedding the screws a bit deeper than what it’s drilled for. I also purchased 4 inexpensive fabric bins to add a pop of color to the organizer as well.
Now when I walk upstairs my frustration level no longer rises because there is a space for everything, and everything is in it’s place. When we had used a ClosetMaid organizing system for our master bedroom closet, I learned quickly how versatile their products are, much like this 3-2-1 organizer that offers the organization and decluttering that toy room needed!
Art Easel
Not only did I want to organize the chaos in the toy room, but our daughter has been begging us to get her an art easel for her room as well. My husband was willing to make one, but after considering the cost of materials, we wondered if we could buy one for around the same cost. Then I stumbled upon an art easel from ClosetMaid, that had both the chalkboard AND a dry erase board, and knew this was exactly what I was looking for.
This art easel has an adjustable height, which is an added bonus, knowing our daughter can use it for years to come. There is a tray that can be used to store dry erase markers, chalk, erasers, and cleaner. The frame is small enough so we can clip a piece of paper to the top of the easel and set it up for painting as well. It has a wooden frame and legs, which offers sturdiness and safety while using.

Our daughter uses it multiple times a day and is very eager to show me her latest drawing each time!
