Home For The Holidays
I have been looking so incredibly forward to decorating for the holidays because this is the first year I feel we are truly HOME for the holidays in a number of years. When we lived in Minnesota, even though that was home for us, we still came “home” to Michigan for the holidays, to visit our families. Then last year, my home for almost a month in the fall was in a hospital, so this year I feel like we are finally HOME for the holidays and what a blessing and gift that is.
So needless to say, I have been eager to decorate for Christmas and not to mention, I think our daughter was equally excited. In fact, she often said to me, “I want to listen to Mommy’s music” which means Christmas music. I apparently listen to it so much that it is now deemed as “Mommy’s music.”
When Wayfair had an invitation to decorate for being “Home for the Holidays,” I knew it was the push I needed to get my Christmas décor up. I have dreamed for well over a year what and where I would like to put things. Last year my dear sister helped me decorate, which was such a blessing! But after sitting in my living room recovering for well over a month in the same chair, day after day, I have thought of many new ideas since then, waiting in anticipation to implement them. Hope you enjoy the simple “tour” of our Christmas decorations throughout our home. Nothing fancy, but our style – SIMPLE.
I always dreamed of living in a home where I could put garland with lights on top of the cupboards, and lo and behold, our “new” home has this!
We have the perfect windows for wreaths, so I’ve been WAITING to hang these this year!
Door in our front porch – just a small touch
A little 5′ Christmas tree also on our front porch that our daughter had fun decorating too
Thanks to Wayfair, I was able to add some different “levels” of décor to this shelf.
Just a simple star in our bay window:
And I made some different covers for the pillows in our bay window:
Have to have a little inspiring décor on the “office” desk!
Another Wayfair-inspired shelf!
Simple centerpiece
Can’t decorate for Christmas without Christmas signs!
And last but not least, our Christmas tree with indeed, presents all wrapped under the tree! With the uncertainty of health, I thought I would work ahead once again, but it was all worth it!
Thanks again Wayfair, for helping me make our home feel like “HOME” for the holidays!
It looks beautiful Kristin and Mazy
Thank you, Betty!
