Spring Cleaning 101: The Basics
Warm weather is coming and so is my desire to spring clean! For some reason, the weather always does that – gives me the urge to purge!
Spring brings inspiration as we see the outside once dead in winter, now come to life. I want our house to always have that fresh new look too.
I did some spring cleaning posts a few years ago and I figure it can never hurt to repost and revamp them since spring always comes (eventually). I want to get back to the basics and hit certain areas of the home.
3. Start from top to bottom. No need to clean your baseboards twice!
4. Declutter FIRST, clean second. Why organize and clean what you are just going to get rid of anyways?
5. Make chore charts for other family members, so that they do their part!
6. Make a fix-it list. This is a list that you can catch up on later, but by writing it down, you won’t neglect it until next year.
7. Make sure you have what you need in order to clean. One idea is to switch to a more “green cleaning.” I am a HUGE fan of Norwex. If you haven’t heard of them before, please ask me about it! I do sell their products and I must say, since I started using their cleaning items, I do not think I will ever go back! I have used their cloths (which require JUST WATER) for over 2 years and they show no signs of wearing out. I know some of you have seen these pictures before, but I just thought I would show again, the before and afters:
The Dusting Mitt on furniture – no furniture polish needed!
I rubbed butter on the door of our microwave. Using just water and the Enviro Cloth, it wiped completely clean
Grease on our oven door – again, water and the Enviro Cloth and the Oven and Grill Cleaner for the really tough spots inside.
Toilet paper holder with the Enviro Cloth – shiny as can be!
Grime on our washer – using the Enviro Cloth and WATER
Hairspray on mirror and dirty window from winter – using wet Enviro Cloth to wipe, then Window Cloth for a streak-free look!
I hope you are able to find the time to clean up and clean out your house! I will doing this right along with you!
Spring cleaning may not be the most engaging current workload, yet regardless of what house you live in, a great profound clean, can never sting. Yes, even this young lady who affections to sort out and clean, needs to spring clean her home. drain clearing
