Spring Cleaning 101: The Forgetables
You may be feeling pretty good about your spring cleaning process…
AND THAT YOU SHOULD!
Your house should start to feel like it is coming together. I understand that it may take longer than 2 weeks to get your house clean for spring. For some, it could take a month. I know that sounds daunting, but the more you do now, the less you will have to do later. A simple concept, but so easy to forget!
One last day, my friends!
And this one is called “THE FORGETABLES.”
Why? Because this list consists of all of the things that you may have forgotten to spring clean. Things that don’t necessarily fit into the categories I have gone through these past two weeks, but also items that really cannot BE forgotten.
Like what, you might ask? Well, you may be surprised…
1. Replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
2. Replace air conditioning and heating filters
3. Clean out inside of vacuum, like the filter and brush
4. Thoroughly clean lint trap of dryer
5. Wash inside and outside of washing machine and dryer
6. Mop or clean stairs
7. Clean under the sink, including pipes and check for leaks
8. Clean and declutter both the inside and outside of your vehicles
9. Don’t forget about the basement…
10. Declutter keys or at least have a home for each and know what each of them is for
11. Garage – take everything out, declutter, wash, and reorganize
12. Saving the best for last…give your grill a good shine in preparation for SUMMER!
Don’t forget to come back tomorrow as I wrap up my Spring Cleaning 101 series!
