Spring Cleaning 101: Wrap-Up!
YOU DID IT!
Or maybe you have not even started…
Wherever you are in the spring cleaning process, whether you are just finishing up, in the middle, or haven’t even started, it all starts…
WITH AN IDEA AND SOME MOTIVATION.
The desire to want to keep a house clean, doesn’t just happen automatically. It starts with a desire to live an organized life and in my mind, an organized life with less. This looks different for every single person. I could write this blog for 20 more years (that would be GREAT…), yet never find one person exactly like me.
And that is the beauty of it.
Each person is different. Each home is different – that is why you need to make it an expression of YOU! I can sit here and give suggestions on how to spring clean your home, take 100 days to live with less, or talk about how to live with less “home.”
When it comes down to it, the decision is up to you: What you want your home to look like? How clean you want your home to look and feel? It there a right and wrong way? I’m not so sure. Do I believe that we are called to be stewards of what we have been given? Yes. I think that we are to take care of our homes by keeping them clean and organized. If we just let them go, we aren’t taking care of or being good stewards of what we have been given.
That is why spring cleaning starts with an idea and motivation.
An idea that flows out of a desire to live an organized life. And motivation to follow through. Organized doesn’t necessarily mean that you have the right bin for an item or the perfect shelving. It is having a purpose for everything you have and ensuring that you are taking the best care of what you have been given.
Let your home be an expression of YOU. Don’t try to be like someone else. Be YOU. Spring clean the way YOU feel is best. Spring clean what YOU feel you need to clean. Don’t just do something to check it off the list. Some of the things I mentioned in this series, are already super clean for you. Then don’t touch it! Be okay with okay.
It is a process and don’t give up!
