Thanks For Today
First of all, we both want to thank you for the joy that you have shared with us in finding out that Brenda was pregnant yesterday! We were overwhelmed with the support and love that you all showed and continue to. We just keep going back to the fact that this is God’s story for our life, just coming into play. This again has nothing to do with us – we just get to be the characters in a book of Life that God has already written out. And you, my friends, are a part of it. It makes me cry to think of how many people are cheering this story on. Brothers and sisters in Christ, you are cheering GOD on. Praise to Him alone for the wonders He has done and continues to do. We feel so honored and humbled to be part of this process and we are no different than any of you. We may be having kids in a rather unnatural way, but we are ALL serving the same God – we just have different stories. So as we all look to see what God has in store, we all look to HIM alone. With all that said, thanks again for all of your support. It made a day that was not going so well, look much brighter! We feel so blessed – so blessed to say Brenda is pregnant, so blessed to have Tim and Brenda (and their whole family) in our life, so blessed to have family and friends who continue to walk this journey with us, and most of all, thankful for GOD, who has taken us on this journey!
Well, we continue to move forward and look ahead with anticipation. We know God has all things happen for a reason and we know that He is working His mighty ways throughout this. We may not fully understand why things are happening the way they are, but who are we to judge God? The hope God has given us through Brenda is just a simple reminder that God knows what He is doing. Yes, the baby process may come to a halt at any moment. But we are living in hope. Yes, our time in youth ministry came to a sudden halt, but we are living in hope that God has something else out there for us. Just because it may not be in one place, doesn’t mean it’s not in another. God never closes a door without opening another. And like my mom had once heard “If God takes you to something, He will take you through it.”
God is good. The ups and downs of life remind us how much our life is not in our hands. The ups and downs of life remind us how much faith our Christian walk really takes. Trust me, we have a long way to go. We stumble. But we truly believe God has something out there for us. We are eager to see what that is, but we know God has us RIGHT where He wants us!
So tomorrow we anticipate another blood test for Brenda to see if those babes are growin’! If you get a chance, please pray that God will continue to sustain those lives! Of course I am talking as if we definitely have two – we don’t know that for sure, but that is what we implanted and I am going to believe they are both in there until God tells me (us) otherwise.
