Have you been wondering when Spring would come?
Coming from Michigan, it is not like snow is unheard of. In fact, this year, Michigan has by far “out-snowed” Minnesota! I have heard both states say “I am so ready to be done with winter…”
And yes, I am to. To a certain extent. This past week, we got another little snow storm and it was BEAUTIFUL. No matter how snowy it is, I always think it is gorgeous outside; I mean, who doesn’t like a real-life snow globe? Some people DREAM of that and here we LIVE in it!
Then we hit temperatures in the mid-50s, and I am reminded that yes, Spring IS coming!
Song of Songs 2:11-12 says:
See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
12
Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.
I have heard many complaints about snow and yes, sometimes the cold gets a little old.
On my dresser, I have an Amish calendar that I look at every morning, and try and remember to read the verse. Well, this was the verse for March. Sometimes us humans doubt that a season change will ever occur. But God never fails in His words.
He will prove to us through SIGHT, that winter will pass (think about that…what signs do you see?) Even though we have snow instead of rain, it will be over and gone.
The flowers WILL start to appear.
The birds are ALREADY starting to sing!
In fact, as I walked to school this week, I could hear the birds just a singing away and all I did was just smile, look up, and praise God.
Spring IS COMING!
On that note, last weekend Dan went ice fishing up north and what stunning scenery they had! Below is a picture of the cabin they stayed in and the moon lighting up the sky…
The crew…
Yes, warmer weather is calling our name, but at least we can still enjoy what winter has to offer!
