What a day!
Today was such an interesting day! I worked in the morning at church. Went home and got some things done around the house, then spent some time outside studying Spanish. Yes, you read that correctly. In February we are going to the Dominican Republic with our church for a (non-youth group) mission trip! Dan and I are really excited b/c we learn so much from doing missions abroad, and also learn ways to make our lifestyle and ministry to kids better. We are looking very forward to it. All that to say that is why I am studying my Spanish again.
Then Dan and I went to one of our kid’s tennis matches – what a great day for it! And they won! We love watching the kids, but also sitting next to the parent and keeping that relationship going. As much as it is to build the “kid” relationship, it’s important to keep that friendship/relationship with the parents! After that game, we quick went home, had supper, then I was off to a varsity volleyball game for another one of our kids and Dan went to Cadets to do devotions. We really love Wednesdays b/c there is always something going on.
Then I got home and it seemed everything came out – emotions, frustrations, and just being overwhelmed. And for once I actually know why :)!! I am fearing next week that the doctors will tell me that I will need another heart surgery. I know, fear: fear that I should not have, but I’m just being honest. Then Dan, being the phenomenal husband that he is, talked me throught it all and now here I sit back to normal Kristin. Though, normal and Kristin, should probably never be in the same sentence :).
AND…in a little over 2 weeks my sister will be getting MARRIED!! I am soooo excited! All the showers, planning, and just wedding talk is so fun! Friday night is her bachelorette party, and then 2 weeks from then, is the big day! Can’t wait to see her experience the joys of marriage! So much to look forward to!
