  • Living Life On Purpose

I don’t know about you, but I know for our family the saying holds true, “Time flies when you’re having fun”. This summer sure is flying by, but it sure has been filled with fun. Even though it’s been “good” things, it doesn’t always mean it’s the “right” things. I would say most often they…

  • Post-Summer Clean Out

I’m a change-of-seasons type of gal. I love each season in it’s entirety, but when the next season comes, I always welcome it! And one of those reasons is… PURGING time! If you’ve followed me over the years, you know I have a weird love for clearing out, cleaning out, and simplicity. Having clutter and…

  • Almost Right Isn’t Enough

Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong. It is knowing the difference between right and almost right.” — Charles Spurgeon Right and ALMOST right. I have heard this quote several times over the past few years and each time, I ponder what I believe to be THE TRUTH. Not that I question WHO is the truth, but the voices of the world are…

  2. I love mason jars and have so many in different sizes, the small ones are awesome for storing paperclips or rubber bands, the normal size I use for vases and pen jars like you. So many handy uses…thanks for the other ideas, I never though about using them for extra paint. I have so many cans with just a little bit left over, this would be perfect.

    1. I like the idea of storing paperclips and rubber bands in the smaller ones! GREAT idea Samantha! Mason jars sure are a handy item to keep around the house – and different sizes! Thanks for sharing Samantha!

  3. My mom recently told me that once I get moved I can have her mason jars…YIPPEE!! I will have space to keep them and want to use them for some food storage and gifts. I LOVE your ideas! I'm thinking Hot Fudge sauce for Christmas gifts in a basket… and Yes, I will e-mail you some details on my move and why…I'd love to share my story 🙂

    1. That is a sweet item to inherit! Hot fudge sauce as a Christmas gift? LOVE IT! I also can't wait to hear more of your story Teresa! Thank you 🙂

  4. May I add my favorite? I put sand into the bottom, about 1/4-1/3 of the jar, and press a votive candle into the sand. Beautiful, beachy look for the back porch table, especially five or six lined up down the center. (Another quick tip: If you use a small candle that isn't a votive, when the wax melts, it'll melt into the sand and not onto the glass!)

    1. I LOVE this idea Mary! I bet that is gorgeous as you line them up on the table – what a great idea! And a great way to protect the jar by having the wax melt onto the sand. I am going to have to remember these ideas Mary – thanks for sharing!

    1. Latanya – I have seen that done and have always wondered how long they stay "good"? What a GREAT idea! Do you make them in advance for the week? Just wondering your thoughts :). Thanks!
