God always has a way of offering perspective, no matter what life situation you are in. This moment to many may have seemed like any ole conversation and maybe rather minor to some, but it was this conversation that God used to give me perspective and open my eyes and heart to situations I walk…

  • Are You A Yo-Yo Exerciser?

We all go through different stages of life. Different life scenarios. Different seasons of life. Circumstances can change our lives drastically, often without letting us know in advance. Or, we find ourselves getting older and older, hoping that “the next year” is when we will get in shape. Right? I seriously have a case of…

  • How to Shop Frugally

Shopping and being frugal seems like an oxymoron, doesn’t it? Whether you think it is possible or not, you can shop and be frugal at the same time. Many think that if you want to be frugal, that you can’t shop. I will be the first to stand up and say that it IS possible…

  • How To Get Your Time Back

Growing up, time felt nonexistent. I remember playing for HOURS outside, making up gymnastics routines, playing basketball on my parent’s old cement slab from their trailer they lived in at the time, before they built their home. Hours would pass without me noticing. Many of us aren’t kids anymore, but we still lose track of…

  2. I love mason jars and have so many in different sizes, the small ones are awesome for storing paperclips or rubber bands, the normal size I use for vases and pen jars like you. So many handy uses…thanks for the other ideas, I never though about using them for extra paint. I have so many cans with just a little bit left over, this would be perfect.

  3. My mom recently told me that once I get moved I can have her mason jars…YIPPEE!! I will have space to keep them and want to use them for some food storage and gifts. I LOVE your ideas! I'm thinking Hot Fudge sauce for Christmas gifts in a basket… and Yes, I will e-mail you some details on my move and why…I'd love to share my story 🙂

    1. That is a sweet item to inherit! Hot fudge sauce as a Christmas gift? LOVE IT! I also can't wait to hear more of your story Teresa! Thank you 🙂

  4. May I add my favorite? I put sand into the bottom, about 1/4-1/3 of the jar, and press a votive candle into the sand. Beautiful, beachy look for the back porch table, especially five or six lined up down the center. (Another quick tip: If you use a small candle that isn't a votive, when the wax melts, it'll melt into the sand and not onto the glass!)

    1. I LOVE this idea Mary! I bet that is gorgeous as you line them up on the table – what a great idea! And a great way to protect the jar by having the wax melt onto the sand. I am going to have to remember these ideas Mary – thanks for sharing!

    1. Latanya – I have seen that done and have always wondered how long they stay "good"? What a GREAT idea! Do you make them in advance for the week? Just wondering your thoughts :). Thanks!
