I’m sure each one of us can think of a time when life didn’t go the way we had plan. When life was “interrupted.” Hello, I feel everyone could say that right now! Recently I was able to share my story with a group of women (shout out to my friends in Caledonia, Michigan!). They…

  • Stop Looking Sideways

Written last week: This post, I write while I am sitting beside my hospital bed, waiting to hear if I will be discharged or not. As I gaze out the window and realize that I soon will be stepping into “the world” again, I can’t help but reflect on my life. Such a heavy thought…

  • Trying To Keep Up, But…

It is incredibly easy to feel worn out, isn’t it? Wear this… Eat that… Look like this… Make that… Parenting like this… Go to that… It’s endless! And it’s going to be endless until we realize in trying to keep up, we will never arrive. I have tried keeping up during various stages of my…

    1. OH MY GOSH!! I LOVE the $ Store…I buy my shower curtain liners there, garbage bags, food storage bags, and then I just check around and see what I might need…One of my BEST deals is my Kitchen Timer. I bought one at another store for $7 and it lasted about 6 months…the $ Store one I've had at least a year…and I have them in different rooms…the kitchen, my son's room, the bathroom for timing my hair coloring…for $1 I can do that. Oh! And balloons!! Helium Balloons are a GREAT deal! I go a little crazy at my $$ store… 🙂

    2. Hi Teresa! I would've never thought of a kitchen timer at the dollar store! What a great idea! It is so easy to walk out of there paying more than what we were thinking we were going to spend! Balloons – YES! The Dollar Store is really such a fun place to go! It's a store full of treasures!

  1. I love my $ store! They just built one about a mile from my house and I am in there at least 3 times a week. But what I really like is getting 90% off holiday items. They always put every holiday item on sale the day after, which is usually 50% off. Well, if you wait about a week or so they'll go down to 70% then 90%. Every Christmas I get all my gift bags, tissue paper, boxes, etc. All for 70%-90% off and store them for next year. I love nothing more than to get a good deal.

    1. Oh man, if I lived 1 mile from a dollar store, I sure would be in trouble! That is a GREAT idea to get all of your holiday items there! I never thought of going there after the season, knowing it would be even cheaper than a dollar! You are so right – gotta love getting a good deal :). Thanks for commenting Michelle!
