Exploring Minnesota – New Ulm
The blog titles aren’t our creation – they are all from t-shirts we had seen 🙂 Tuesday was definitely a memorable in the sense that we got a lot done, but most of it was done in the rain! It was day where we were unsure as to what God had in store for us, but we…
Have you ever thought about what happens when you die? I’m sure most of us have, to some degree. Well, from Angel Studios, who brought to you The Chosen, Sound of Freedom, comes a new movie called, After Death, is coming to theaters on October 27. This movie is based on the true accounts of…
What is God doing in our life? This past weekend we had the opportunity to go to the Simply Youth Ministry Conference in Indianapolis, IN!(We leave tomorrow at noon). You may be thinking that we were crazy in going to a conference days before we are moving to another state, and yes we were crazy, but we…
Writing a book is something I truly have always dreamed of doing. The idea fascinated me. To put to pen my own heart’s thoughts, on whatever topic I was to write a book about, inspired me. And then it became clear to me that I was to write a book about my personal story. My…
Have you ever seen a tip or trick on the internet and think “why have I not thought of that before?” Trust me, I thought this more times than I dare admit. Since trying to live a more simplified life, I have been intrigued at finding new ways to make something even more practical and…

Kristin!! I would totally go to New Ulm this summer with you! I love looking at the historical sites around the area! 🙂 You should head to Montevideo sometime and check out the Pioneer village! But go this summer, when you can walk around! Then the boys and I can go too! They are awesome sites! <3
Wow we just have so much in common! Dan and I both enjoy historical sites. We will definitely have to go both places this summer!
You had fun cleaning? The only time that happens to me is if I have company to talk to and keep the kids out from under my feet! April is right though, Pioneer Village is SO much fun! There are some really cool historical spots down in the Minnesota River valley about 30-45 minutes south of us too … old farmsteads, sites of Indian attacks, and 2 miles west of Pburg is a farm that actually is listed as a historical site because Indians once camped there on their way to the massacres in the river valley.
Ang – that is good to know about the Minnesota River valley too! I never even heard of it :). That is why asking people where to go (people who live here) is so much easier instead of meandering around towns, aimlessly. I LOVE old farmsteads and what not! Thanks for the info and if you have anymore, let me know!
