Around The Home
Can I just say how thankful I am to be on this side of all my heart surgeries? This time last year I was just trying to survive being at home, wondering if I could do it. It was incredibly difficult some days, but we made it through and I look at where I am at now, a year later, and it is all pretty motivating! So needless to say, I am trying to soak in every part I can of these days leading up to Thanksgiving, which for me, also includes getting ready for Christmas!
While Dan was hunting this past week, Mazy and I spent our hours decorating for Christmas, and wearing what we could find!
Mazy decorating her little Christmas tree in her room
A pivotal moment this week was when Mazy conquered her fear of going #2 on the toilet! This is a huge victory for her and we were so proud of her! That meant a trip to the carousel and a Marshal Fire Truck! The bribes add up after 9 months of encouraging her to go!
Last week I went down to my friend Brenda’s house to gather items to make up my porch pots. Seeing the snow on them this week, made me love ’em even more!
After the snow cleared away, Mazy of course wanted to go to the park with her baby…clearly we were the only ones crazy enough to go there on that windy day!
Mazy always likes to put on a concert for me when we go!
On Saturday, Mazy was invited to her cousin’s birthday party…and oh my she could not WAIT for the day! She had so much fun and how kind of her 8 year old cousin to invite her!
Waiting in the back to give her cousin her gift…just love this picture!
Then she was able to help open it!
Looking forward to seeing family and friends this coming week, as I’m sure many of you are! This is why I love the holiday season – so MUCH to be thankful for! I’m taking the rest of the week to enjoy time with family, so look for the next post coming a week from today.
Hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving!
