Around The Home

As many of you in the midwest are well aware, we have had a scorcher of a week! It is hard to remind myself that it is September, but no complaining here! Warmer weather has meant more hours in the pool! Through the first month or so, we had a hard time getting the filter…
This is a post I wrote on Thursday – the day God chose to drastically change our life. We have hesitated sharing this with you, as we are waiting for one test result (which you will read about at the end), but we know that this is all God and we felt we wanted to…
What a joy it was to be able to “show” how God continues to bless us with our little miracle and share this joy with family and friends back home! There is a LONG history of many prayers being sent up on behalf of my heart, but also for the possibility of kids. As I…
There sure had been a new found freedom in having all of my restrictions lifted, though I quickly learned that it did not mean I was 100% better! As much I wanted to lift Mazy up and carry her everywhere, I could barely lift her, due to weakness. Slowly I am gaining strength, but I…
Can I just say “Woohoo!” for seeing the sun this past week? Even though the temps are a tad chilly, there is something about needing sunglasses in the middle of winter that is so refreshing! This past week consisted of a few med changes which means more monitoring, but so far it’s going okay. Not…
With a new year beginning, I can’t help but think about the things I want to change in my life. How can I live life to the fullest? How can I serve God and others to the fullest? How can I love my husband, and daughter to the fullest? Questions that I have asked myself…

1. Mazy has THE CUTEST clothes! She always looks darling – especially in the bathtub!
2. You need a dog.
3. How wonderful you've grown your own personal reminder for keys and sunglasses!
4. You are a really good mom, and it's wonderful to see how much you enjoy Mazy. (Even if you don't sucker for a dog)
LOL I loved your comment! Thank you so much!
1. Most of her clothes are actually second-hand clothes – best way to dress a child who stains them consistently :).
2. We decided she needs to sleep through the night before we would ever consider getting one! Thankfully all of our friends have them, so she can get her fix!
3. She seriously is so great at that – love my little "planner"!
4. Thank you for the encouragement! That honestly means so much – in those tough days, it's hard, but God sure gives us a lot of grace and reminders that we can only do the best we can! Thank you again :). Your comment meant so much!
