Around The Home
I feel like this past week was spent getting back in routine, after being gone for Thanksgiving. Mazy takes a little time to adjust back to life (especially sleeping), but by Friday, she was back to her normal self! Granted we will turn around and do it again in a few weeks, but we are…
And just like that, November is done. Does anyone else feel like that month flew by? Though I find the older I get, the more I find myself saying that! Though it gives me every reason to slow down and allow the moments of each day, to sink in. This past week, I feel we’ve…
This is a lesson that has taken and is still taking me, far too long to learn: appreciating the moment. Busy days can get the best of us. Looking at the calendar, our schedules fill up. Demands from every corner fill our minds with what we AREN’T accomplishing, maybe even creating a feeling of guilt…
Katie is two weeks away from being Mrs. Jongekrijg! (And it took me about 2 years to remember how to spell that last name :)). Last night we had her bachelorette party and what a fun time it was! We first headed to the Bobarino (aka the Bob) for a meal, and then headed back…
It is incredibly hard to believe we went from the mid-70s to insanely windy and cold one week later, but here we are! I’ll let the pictures explain… Here was Mazy last week at Lake Michigan… And here is Lake Michigan a week later… That is actually a road that is completely covered in water…

1. Mazy has THE CUTEST clothes! She always looks darling – especially in the bathtub!
2. You need a dog.
3. How wonderful you've grown your own personal reminder for keys and sunglasses!
4. You are a really good mom, and it's wonderful to see how much you enjoy Mazy. (Even if you don't sucker for a dog)
LOL I loved your comment! Thank you so much!
1. Most of her clothes are actually second-hand clothes – best way to dress a child who stains them consistently :).
2. We decided she needs to sleep through the night before we would ever consider getting one! Thankfully all of our friends have them, so she can get her fix!
3. She seriously is so great at that – love my little "planner"!
4. Thank you for the encouragement! That honestly means so much – in those tough days, it's hard, but God sure gives us a lot of grace and reminders that we can only do the best we can! Thank you again :). Your comment meant so much!
