Around the Home
I’m just going to start right off with this picture of a rainbox. This was taken at my in-laws house on Monday night, the day before I had some testing down at the U of M. I can’t say that day went completely as planned as we found out I was having a significant amount of extra beats that caused me to start a new med the next day. But as I look at that rainbow, it is no mistake that my favorite Bible story has always been Noah and the ark. I’ve often wondered, if I was Noah, would I have built an ark in the middle of the desert? Would I have listened to God, year after year, as he built it? Would I have been one of the 8 that was saved during the flood?
Questions I often think of as I ponder this story. As I look as this rainbow, I am reminded, not only of the promises brought through this spectacular event, but also the promises that God has made to us in the rest of Scripture. Do I hold tight to them? Do I firmly believe them? And that is why a rainbow forever signifies to me that God holds true to his promises. What a gift.
Never a dull moment, I walked from our living room to our dining room, to see a “goose” sitting in the middle, that I’ll admit, gave me a bit of a scare! Thanks Dan, for making our night :). (It’s a goose decoy…)
We are pretty certain that Maggie, our dog, thinks she is a human. Every night she jumps into Dan’s lap while Mazy is eating her snack, and sits like this:
Another pool season has come to an end. It’s always sad to see the pool season end, but as we reflect back on the summer, we are thankful for all those who have enjoyed this gift with us, the relationships that have grown, the laughs had, the food eaten, and the family time we have had. We are so humbled that God would choose for us, a house that had a pool, knowing we could utilize it well in ministry and within our own family. We do not take this gift lightly or for granted, but give all the glory to HIM!
It might’ve been that cold that Dan and Mazy needed a wetsuit. Making the most of every minute in that pool before we close it down this week:
So SO proud of this girl who learned to swim like a champ, do flips, swim the length of the pool, learn not swimming strokes, and just became even more comfortable in water:
Sure love this family of mine:
And on a final note: CANNONBALL!!!!
