Seeing Each Day as a Gift
The alarm goes off.
You squint to check the time and wonder “is it really THAT time already?”
You think about the start of a new day.
Where do your thoughts go?
Are you overwhelmed? Despising the dawn of another day? Dreading the upcoming hours?
Or are you anticipating what the day may hold? Do you see it as a NEW day?
HOW DO YOU SEE A NEW DAY?
Treasure.
Treasure the day.
Treasure what the day may bring.
See each day as a gift. Unwrap it. Take each piece of the “gift” and handle it with care. Care about each moment.
What if tomorrow never came?
What if you smiled more? Cared more? Spent more time with others? With friends, with family.
What can YOU do today, to make today a gift for someone else?
Think about your tasks that you want to accomplish – do you attend to them with excitement? Yeah, some may not be very exciting – but have you thought about the possibility of not being able to do them because of physical restrictions? All those mundane tasks in a day are a blessing in disguise.
Is organizing your house really a gift? Yes, it is. It can stem out of a heart of gratitude for what you have. Realizing that you have more than what you need and recognizing that someone else may see your abundance as a way to bless others.
Today is a gift. Unwrap it with care and with eagerness for what it may contain.
See each day as a gift.
