A Dinner Table Conversation
I love “family” meals.
I love “family” meals.
In all of my purging, one of the things that I have gotten rid of the most, has been clothing. If you think about it, clothing really, is just something you put on to cover up. Pretty basic. What we do, is make clothing into a “label” about who we are. We use clothing…
I (heart) Christmas. You can say “ugh,” but I am one of those who plays Christmas music in October (I’ve been known to throw in a cd in July). Many may get frustrated with me because it may come across as me not respecting Thanksgiving or me even disliking that holiday, by overlooking it. I…
I recently talked about my fool-proof way to never forget to buy, do, or go to something – and it’s all in a sticky note. Well what else do I use a sticky note for? Not only for daily reminders, but to maximize my days. I am a do-er. If I can cross something off…
I am not a big shopper. Never have been (just ask my family)! I am not a big spender and do not enjoy spending money on things I do not need. Yes, there are things I could always want, but I can usually justify a reason to NOT buy it (mainly because I have a…

Also, I wouldn't trade the time we spend together doing these little projects for anything else I can think of. Good for you, sweet Kristin; and thank you for the encouragement.
Mary, you are SO right – it is WAY more satisfying to DIY than buy! One of the biggest my husband and I have tackled is redoing the complete inside of our fishing boat. It was a marriage tester I must say, but when we were finished, it is the thing we are most proud of. I love your perspective Mary and thank you for yet again, sharing your words of wisdom :)!
