  • Preparing for Black Friday

I sometimes do not know what to think about Black Friday. For weeks, there have been commercials about when certain deals are starting for weeks. In fact, many stores have started their “Black Friday” sales at the beginning of the month! Then I wonder, why do we make such a big deal about Black Friday?…

Don’t know about you, but we sure received a lot of rain this week! We had an incredible amount of rain – I heard 10 inches and then I heard 7 inches, but regardless, that is a LOT of rain! Needless to say, we got water in our basement, which only helps me just get…

  • What I Do…

I love what I do. I know why I do what I do. When I was at Kuyper College, I thought when I graduated I would be either be a school social worker or a marriage/family therapist. I was accepted into the Master’s program at Western Michigan, all I had to do was sign the…

  • Merry Christmas!

I’ve heard it said often, that this is a Christmas like no other! Loss, difficulty, sickness, stress, simplicity, and calm are just a few words that come to mind. • Around The Home

It’s pretty crazy to think we have now been back in Michigan for a month now (though one week was spent up north). It sure has been a hectic 4 weeks, but we look at how the transition has gone, what we have learned, what we have accomplished, and we just see God’s guiding hand…

  1. Poor sweet girl! praying for her healing…. Lord we lift Mazy up before Your throne. Ask for her healing. God touch her body and allow Your hand to heal her lungs, ears and fevers — We pray God that You will watch over her as she sleeps, grant her sleep and rest to recover. And for Dan and Kristin as they care for this little one. Rest and all they need to get through this time with Mazy. Amen.

  2. Thank you so, so much for your sweet comment and thoughtful prayer! She is healing, with no more fever. We can hear a bit of gunk in her lungs yet, but hopefully it will move out soon. She has been sleeping better, which has been such a huge answer to prayer! We are getting rest and God is answering our prayers! Thank you again for taking the time to pray for us!
