Christmas is my favorite holiday because it reminds of the miracle that Christ’s birth is, but also the life-saving gift of salvation. This Christmas, of course is a bit more special because we were able to experience the physical birth of our own earthly child.
This past week was a bit busy, but all in preparation for what is to come as we prepare for Christmas! I did have my heart appointment in the cities on Tuesday, where I received amazing news that my heart is healing! We couldn’t be more thankful! We did not have youth group on Wednesday because we got a winter storm, which allowed us to lay low with Mazers who got a nasty cold. We also had our youth group leader’s dinner on Friday night, where we ordered in Famous Dave’s! Saturday we spent just resting at home, getting some chores done, and hanging out with friends in the evening.
Mazy received her first Christmas gift from some friends of ours and oh does she love it!
A little help from their dog always helps!
It is true that the wrapping paper and ribbon are just as exciting!
Mazy has loved her naps recently (thankfully since she had a very rough week sleeping because of a cold). She has been sleeping like this recently and we laugh every time! Oh how I just love watching even her sleeping positions change! So much to love!
Mazy had a cold this week and was up until 3:00 two nights and 4:00am another night. The poor girl was so tired, but just couldn’t fall asleep. Thankfully during the day, she was able to take some naps!
As we look forward to Christmas this week, may we reflect on the year pass and the gift and new beginning that Christ brings into our lives!
