Around The Home

This past week we had the joy of having Dan’s parents stay with us! They made the 10 hour trek from Michigan to visit, and what a wonderful weekend we had! Always good to catch up and to have visitors!

Besides having family come and visit, I feel life has been pretty hectic, but hopefully things will slow down (right?) The start of school is always a busy time, just getting our schedules coordinated, getting back into the swing of things, etc. If this says anything, I am finally posting my “Monday” post on Thursday. I must say though, we are also spending a lot of time soaking up our daughter – oh the joy she brings to our life!

This past Sunday was also Dan’s 35th birthday! He sure looks a whole lot younger than 35 if you ask me!

She makes us laugh. So this summer, she VERY MUCH disliked wearing her life jacket. Well, now she wants to wear it around the house (for just a few minutes). Silly girl!

It rained last Friday and Mazy kept begging to go outside. Granted it was warm out (so it was a warm rain as well), so we decided to let her go outside. She was given a new raincoat by a friend, and oh did she love putting on that coat and going out in the rain!

One thing Dan wanted for his birthday was to go fishing just us two. Thankfully his parents were in town so we did not have to get an official babysitter. It was a bit of a rough start (literally). We went to Green Lake and the motor would not start. It was also rather windy and bit chilly, but the conversations and company were warm and much needed!
