Around the Home
This past week we tackled another heart procedure – an ablation. It’s always a family affair, since after most of my heart procedures, some sort of recovery is involved. The recovery after the ablation was at times a mental and physical battle, but by Thursday and especially Friday, I was able to make the turn. I am still sore, but that is expected and the amount of bruising I have explains why it’s still painful at times. But I am able to say that I do not feel my heart is beating as irregular as it was before my procedure, which is a huge answer to prayer! We are still hopeful that as my heart heals, that the procedure will be more successful than what we were thinking, when I left the hospital on Tuesday. My heart monitor looked a mess then, but we remain hopeful.
On Monday, my parents took Mazy to our town’s Christmas parade, which I was so sad to miss! But, Mazy had so much fun and it’s just as important for her to experience those types of events with grandparents too. We were still able to enjoy the festivities of the town though with the horse-drawn trolley rides Friday night! Before I get to those pictures though, here’s what the rest of the week looked like:
Spending time at the U of M Monday and Tuesday, getting the ole ticker fixed…
Taking time to rest, though that’s so hard to do with a 4 year old at times! Good thing she takes such good care of me…
Made Christmas pots with my dear friend, Brenda. She has such an eye and gift for this type of thing…not one of my gifts in life!
Friday night we went downtown to ride the horse-drawn trolley and it truly felt like it was all straight out of a movie! It was a chilly night, but completely worth every minute of it! And plus, that family time together!
And Mazy LOVED petting the reindeer – real LIVE ones, as she told us!
Ready for a new week and ready to keep fighting against this heart disease! It’s a slow progress at times and I feel slow at times too, LOL, but hoping this next week I can gain some momentum!
