Around the Home
Really I should’ve called this post “Around the Vacation Home”, since this past week was spent with my family on vacay! It is always the highlight of our year and this year did not disappoint. We ended up having to switch venues a bit last minute for various reasons, but we were able to find a place and really what matters anyways, is just being together. I’m going to let the pictures do the rest of the talking:
The cottage we rented had a lot of fun little “extras”, including a mat that the kiddos played king of the mat on:
Hard to see, but Dan actually has a decent fish hanging at the end of his pole:
Maybe I’m just behind in the world, but did you ever hear of freshwater jellyfish? Well, let me tell you, they are a legit thing! They do not sting and there were 100s of them in this lake! Actually, thousands I’m pretty certain. The girls were able to catch some…
Mazy can never get enough cousin time. So blessed to have family close by where she can grow up with “siblings”.
Kari and Ava:
Mazy got the guts to go tubing, where she felt most comfortable sandwiched between her two oldest cousins:
Our family gets serious when it comes to puzzles! This year I decided to get a 2,000 piece puzzle and should’ve known, it still only took us a few days…
We all get into it…
This was the first picture I took while on vacay and it just says it all:
After a crazy season of so much being cancelled or delayed, it was wonderful to get away with family and not have to worry about the virus for a short time. How refreshing it was! Until next year…
