Around the Home
Well, summer was back this week in Michigan, so we tried to spend as much time as we could outside! This week marked celebrating my mom’s birthday, Maggie’s 1st birthday (it was a BIG deal in Mazy’s book), ending Mazy’s first soccer season, visiting friends, and celebrating all things fall! Here’s what we’ve been up to:
For Maggie’s birthday, my mother-in-law made dog cakes for Maggie and her sister, Millie! They LOVED them, to say the least!
The grandkids were pretty excited:
And like I said, Maggie had no problem gobbling up her cake:
This girl’s love for her dog is unmatchable:
Mazy and I headed to St. Joseph to visit some friends:
Can’t keep this girl out of water:
Hayride time with the youth group…always a highlight of the year:
Even though none of these girls are sisters, I feel like they could all pass as such:
Braving the corn and cob throwing while on the hayride…hope we’re not getting to old for this stuff!
This week was Mazy’s last week of soccer practice and soccer games! She is sad that it’s done because she said it was SO fun. This is the first “organized” sporting gig she’s done and we are thankful she had a blast and had the most amazing coaches!
Throwing in the ball…
I walked into the living room after Mazy’s game and this is what I found. I can understand why Dan and I have gotten a little lower on the totem pole these days…
And this just confirms that:
This week we are hoping to figure out a few more details with my heart. We know that some things are wrong and we are hoping that in the next few weeks, we can get some answers and find some solutions. It’s a daunting journey at times, but there hasn’t ever been a time when God hasn’t been there with us. So we are trusting forward that no matter what happens, this is all part of God’s perfect and gracious plan!
I love the way you always include god in your articles. Keep moving and god will always by your side and your family. God bless us all!
