Around the Home
There is no question that winter has arrived here in Michigan! We had our first snow day and since then, we have been making the most of the fluffy white stuff as you’ll see…
We started the week with a little family night at the bowling alley! I realized this is the first time we went bowling as a family and then I wondered why we hadn’t gone before? Oh to watch our sweet girl just love life and get so giddy when a few pins fall. Talk about keeping life in perspective.
And then to watch these two together…
Mazy told me this week that she wanted to learn to vacuum. One must know that she used to be so afraid of the “loud noise” the vacuum made. And here she is, vacuuming away, headband and all. So proud of her!
Once there was enough snow, this girl played outside til her cheeks were numb:
Mazy wanted to make a racecar out of cardboard and she knew in her mind, exactly how she wanted it to look. And thankfully I’m married to someone who thinks like she does and can replicate exactly what she has in mind:
Mazy wanted to cross country ski and even though the snow was a bit deep, she did it all with that huge smile on her face:
Now I don’t want these pictures to fool you…there were plenty of tears, like when I didn’t understand how she wanted her racecar built. Tired tears. Frustrating moments for all of us. Life is not perfect at the Sterks, but we sure love doing life together. For this this too, is reality.
