Around the Home
With summer winding down, it’s hard to imagine that we will be back in school in just a few short weeks! Though we are trying to live up this summer as much as we can, as we look forward to the routine of school once again. Here’s what we’ve been up to…
We were able to visit with friends from Minnesota this past week and what a JOY it is, to catch up, reconnect, and pick up right where we left off:
Our pool sure has gotten a lot of use this summer! It seems to never get old:
So thankful for this family of mine:
Even though some walks go better than others, I am thankful to be able to put one foot in front of the other:
While visiting some friends at a local campground, we were able to spend some time at the beach, soaking in Lake Michigan:
After going back-to-school shopping, Mazy and I had a lunch date at Panera Bread:
Mazy and I LOVE to play games! We are often found at the kitchen table, competing against one another. Though with Jenga, this is the tallest we have ever gotten our tower! As Mazy says, “It was a WORLD RECORD!”
Mazy loves to help out wherever and whenever she can. Even if it means getting oil-based paint all over her with her daddy:
After watching the Olympics the past 2 weeks, Mazy decided we should do synchronized swimming OR…just try to do a handstand under water. Here were our attempts:
Kristin
Mazy…
And Dan at his finest:
We have loved watching the competitions and listening to the stories that have come out of the Olympics, inspiring us to be who GOD created us to be, with unique talents and gifts. We can’t wait until the winter Olympics this coming winter! It’ll definitely help pass those winter months in Michigan, that’s for sure!
