Just another pretty normal week at the Sterks! Mazy has learned to turn around in a circle while sitting on her bottom, so maybe she will end up scooting across the floor instead of crawling! Her vocab is also becoming quite extensive, even though we aren’t always sure what she is saying! I recently taught…

How was this past week, the last week of June already? I try to stay away from to-do lists in the summer because we just want to enjoy hanging out by the pool with family and friends. And so far, so good. Here’s what the past week has looked like for us: Speaking of to-do…

  • Scariest Day Of Our Lives

First of all…please know that as you view these, God worked in WONDROUS ways today. We have come up with countless ways that God has protected us more than we could’ve asked. I know I posted these on facebook, but I know not everyone has facebook, so we thought we would post them on the…

  • Mazy’s First Haircut

As you may remember from previous posts that Mazy has struggled with hair-pulling. It seemed to be a result from a very short hospital stay back in July, an event that threw her into some anxiety issues. We did not think much of it after the first few clumps that we found, but as it…

  • Blessed By Our Families!

Over the past 3 weeks, we have had the privilege of family coming out from Michigan, to meet Miss Mazy Grace! The first weekend, my parents came out and then the next weekend, Dan’s mom came out, and then this past weekend, my mom, sister, and her 4 girls came to visit. It has been…

  1. I agree. Moving is very hard, and from a family who moved around 17 times in 19 yrs. of marriage, I can definitely relate!. I also empathize with you on saying goodbyes. However, God always has a better plan than we could ever hope or imagine, and as there is a season for everything, this ‘season” is passing to make way for what God has in store for all of you.
We never know how God is going to use us until we take that step in faith. That is exactly what you and Dan and Mazy are doing, and I for one, can hardly wait to see how our Lord is going to use your lives by coming back to Michigan for your good and His glory.
I’ll be waiting for the next blog post.
Our daughter, Kara, and her husband, Andy, are going through something similar right now, in that they are sorting, discarding, and saving stuff as they prepare to go to Germany to live for 3 to 5 years. Andy’s new job is there and as you are making decisions, so are they, so please pray for them as they leave June 7th. Thanks so much.
You all are in my prayers daily as you attempt to do the same tasks to get ready to start a new chapter of your lives. I know God has great plans for you!!
    Love,
    Karen and Joe

    1. Thank you so much for your comment Karen! You are so wise, full of experience, and have such a great faith! You sure know what it’s like to move! Actually, I enjoy it to some extent because I’ve learned that God does beautiful things in new chapters! I can’t wait to share how God has, is, and will be working. There is something so beautiful about being able to share God-stories with others. Thank you for keeping in contact Karen! I will be thinking of Andy and Kara as they make a big move as well. That’s a REALLY big move! I foresee a trip out there for the Killians :). Thank you for sharing your heart and faith with me Karen! Much love to you!
