We have survived a week without her wubs! Last week I had cut the paci off and ever since, she has said it’s “broke, sad.” It was a rough first couple of days, nights, and naptime, but now she only asks about wubs about once a day. We have also been working on getting her…

Don’t know about you, but we sure received a lot of rain this week! We had an incredible amount of rain – I heard 10 inches and then I heard 7 inches, but regardless, that is a LOT of rain! Needless to say, we got water in our basement, which only helps me just get…

  • A Day To Remember

Mother’s Day. A day filled with so many emotions. It was a day I used to dread. A day I wouldn’t be able to get through without crying. A day I dreaded going to church on. A day that brought so many suppressed thoughts and emotions to the surface. A day I never thought I…

  • Memories That Are Forever

The memories of 2 years ago, so fresh in our minds. It is hard to believe that it has been that long since we said goodbye to our little hooties, but that is also why it makes today, our life circumstances in these moments, so special. We wouldn’t understand the depth and love we can…

  • Mazy’s Quiet Book

  1. I agree. Moving is very hard, and from a family who moved around 17 times in 19 yrs. of marriage, I can definitely relate!. I also empathize with you on saying goodbyes. However, God always has a better plan than we could ever hope or imagine, and as there is a season for everything, this ‘season” is passing to make way for what God has in store for all of you.
We never know how God is going to use us until we take that step in faith. That is exactly what you and Dan and Mazy are doing, and I for one, can hardly wait to see how our Lord is going to use your lives by coming back to Michigan for your good and His glory.
I’ll be waiting for the next blog post.
Our daughter, Kara, and her husband, Andy, are going through something similar right now, in that they are sorting, discarding, and saving stuff as they prepare to go to Germany to live for 3 to 5 years. Andy’s new job is there and as you are making decisions, so are they, so please pray for them as they leave June 7th. Thanks so much.
You all are in my prayers daily as you attempt to do the same tasks to get ready to start a new chapter of your lives. I know God has great plans for you!!
    Love,
    Karen and Joe

    1. Thank you so much for your comment Karen! You are so wise, full of experience, and have such a great faith! You sure know what it’s like to move! Actually, I enjoy it to some extent because I’ve learned that God does beautiful things in new chapters! I can’t wait to share how God has, is, and will be working. There is something so beautiful about being able to share God-stories with others. Thank you for keeping in contact Karen! I will be thinking of Andy and Kara as they make a big move as well. That’s a REALLY big move! I foresee a trip out there for the Killians :). Thank you for sharing your heart and faith with me Karen! Much love to you!
