Here’s a post about this crazy mama and her little side kick! With Dan being gone, we’ve realized the days go MUCH better when we keep busy! Cabin fever for both of us set in on about day 2, so Mazy and I decided after a little pow-wow that we needed to do something everyday….

This past week we had another wonderful week mainly at home! That has been my goal this Christmas season – to enjoy time at home! Not that we couldn’t go do things, but the fun activities we find to do at home, are just as special! And all the more, our creative juices just start…

Thanksgiving is always such a special time for us. I feel it’s cliche to say that we are thankful for all of the many blessings, family, and friends that he has given us, but we truly are. We were able to spend our Thanksgiving with family and now having a child, we are realizing how…

This past week was CEA break for the local Christian schools in our area and that meant we headed to the Conference Grounds for their Fall Harvest Festival! We’ve had some warmer years, with some even colder and rainier, but this one was in between. It was pretty chilly, and rather rainy at the beginning,…

We have visitors :)! Dan’s brother Tom, his wife Kari and there 2 kids made the trek from Michigan to Minnesota yesterday! It is always nice having a piece of family out here! 1. I agree. Moving is very hard, and from a family who moved around 17 times in 19 yrs. of marriage, I can definitely relate!. I also empathize with you on saying goodbyes. However, God always has a better plan than we could ever hope or imagine, and as there is a season for everything, this ‘season” is passing to make way for what God has in store for all of you.
We never know how God is going to use us until we take that step in faith. That is exactly what you and Dan and Mazy are doing, and I for one, can hardly wait to see how our Lord is going to use your lives by coming back to Michigan for your good and His glory.
I’ll be waiting for the next blog post.
Our daughter, Kara, and her husband, Andy, are going through something similar right now, in that they are sorting, discarding, and saving stuff as they prepare to go to Germany to live for 3 to 5 years. Andy’s new job is there and as you are making decisions, so are they, so please pray for them as they leave June 7th. Thanks so much.
You all are in my prayers daily as you attempt to do the same tasks to get ready to start a new chapter of your lives. I know God has great plans for you!!
    Love,
    Karen and Joe

    1. Thank you so much for your comment Karen! You are so wise, full of experience, and have such a great faith! You sure know what it’s like to move! Actually, I enjoy it to some extent because I’ve learned that God does beautiful things in new chapters! I can’t wait to share how God has, is, and will be working. There is something so beautiful about being able to share God-stories with others. Thank you for keeping in contact Karen! I will be thinking of Andy and Kara as they make a big move as well. That’s a REALLY big move! I foresee a trip out there for the Killians :). Thank you for sharing your heart and faith with me Karen! Much love to you!
