Around The Home
This past week had gone a bit different than planned, but that’s okay. Isn’t that just life sometimes, right?
At the beginning of the week, we were able to finish painting the garage, stain the deck, and Dan finished up the brick walkway around the sandbox. And Dan also inserted the posts in for a new fence separating our backyard and pool. Definitely accomplished a lot with the house again and just loving it!
And as you probably saw via social media, I ended up having interesting heart appointments and findings this week, which eventually landed me in the ER Saturday morning. I am on a “low threshold” when it comes to symptoms, so if I experience any bigger changes, I’m in. That’s what happened Saturday. I woke up at 5:45am not feeling well and knew something was wrong. Basically my PVCs are getting the best of me and not making me feel well. Thankfully I now have a life vest defibrillator to save my life if I would sudden go into cardiac arrest, but that is the worry right now. I can easily slip into that at any time, but now knowing I have this on, is QUITE comforting. I could choose to go to U of M this weekend and be admitted if I felt it would be better for me to be there, but I wanted to try home first. As of Sunday afternoon, so far so good. I have moments of not feeling well, but after a few hours they pass.
This coming week we are uncertain what it will look like, but I do know it will entail a trip to Michigan for testing, if not admission. I know something is definitely wrong and I’ve declined too fast to just sweep it under a rug. My doctor is concerned as well, so hopefully we can get to the bottom of it pronto, so that I can just start the healing process again. We will keep you posted! Here’s what our week has looked like:
Mazy could live at the park and I LOVE it! Yes, indeed her legs are covered in marker…she wanted some tattoos…
Trying my hand at something I’ve never done…planting pots. These pots used to be blue, but this week I decided to spray paint them yellow, to add a pop of color to our front steps. Then my sister and I headed to the greenhouse to get some flowers! Not going to lie, I could get used to doing this type of thing!
I also bought some lettuce to create a “salad bowl.” I have had like zero luck with planting lettuce in the past, so hopefully this will be successful!
The front of our house…with the sun shining bright!
After my appointment Thursday, I received a holter monitor to record my irregular rhythms. It’ll be interesting to see what the results show!
An AMAZING rainbow that Dan caught on camera!
Another “thing” we enjoy doing is baking. And Mazy knows what the best part is…
Minutes after getting my holter monitor off, I was hooked up to a life vest defibrillator. Definitely a bit of a pain to wear, but not when I think about what it can do!
I have named it Franny the fanny. So me and Franny are going to become pretty tight this week I think!
And of course my stop at the ER Saturday morning. That whole stop just confirmed that my heart surely is out of rhythm, but the rest of my body and organs are okay, which is good. Unfortunately the heart issues come with some symptoms, but at least it’s just my heart thus far. Hoping to get to the bottom of this all this week and get a plan in place!
And this week, we ordered proof copies of our book! I hesitated ordering them, wondering if there was another chapter I am supposed to be writing, but I decided to press “order” and just go from there. It’s coming together!
And for Mother’s Day, we spent time with family. No better way to spend the day!
