Around The Home
This past week absolutely flew by for me! A week after being in the hospital really throws everything in life for a loop, so I feel I was often playing catch up all week, but it also has taken me a bit for me to feel like myself again. Dan observed though that on Wednesday, I really started to turn a corner, and I would completely agree! It takes some time for meds to regulate themselves in the body and for the body to get used to not being in the hospital! I feel like things are definitely on the upswing and it is very relieving. Am I where I’d like to be? Not quite yet, but I know that my heart is getting healthier. At least from my standpoint, I do not feel the palpitations like I used to, which to me, is great progress made. Who knows what the future holds when it comes to my heart, but what we do know is that God holds my future, not me, and there is great comfort in that!
Here is what our past week has looked like:
SOMEbody got a hand on my phone and took a hilarious picture!
Mazy is very into painting, so took some scrap pieces of wood and painted them. Simple craft, but so much fun to do together!
Dan was building a fire and he proceeded to tell me that his arm was getting tired from fanning it constantly, to keep it going. So, he pulls out the air compressor – never a dull moment!
One thing Mazy loves about our library is that they have GIANT stuffed animals to play with!
But then it’s book time…she is starting to like reading ME stories. Oh I love to hear her made up stories and soak in her imagination running wild!
On the way home from the library, Mazy saw a few kids at the splash pad. She kept begging to go, so I caved and we went! She clearly had an amazing time and I’m SO glad we went!
She just pranced through the water, which was so adorable!
The pool was a bit chilly, so the sprinkler sufficed on this day!
After playing hard and no nap, her head gets pretty heavy at night!
Silly girl…she will find any area of our house to pretend in!
Our pool is up and running! YAY! I will have to share some pictures soon. Dan fixed the leaks, so now we don’t have to add cold hose water to it every two days! Hopefully we can keep the pool in the 70s this summer…so far it is 68 and it’s not even June. I think we will be good! Mazy has been in it every single day, multiple times a day…she is a little fish and we just love it! We love the family time it offers and we sure are looking forward to a fun summer swimmin’!
As for my heart, not sure when my next appointment will be, but I still have my LifeVest! I am definitely eager to hear numbers-wise the improvement my heart has made, but I know that will take time too. Thank you for the prayers and love you have shown to us once again!
