Around The Home
As the weeks move on by, we are realizing quickly that our time in Minnesota is coming to an end and our new life in Michigan will be beginning. Both book ends, in the opposite way. The closing of one chapter, but the opening of another. I feel I have my emotions back under control, thanks to the gift of time and less stress, which has made this transition easier. This past week we continued to prepare our house for the garage sale this coming weekend. We are about done going through and pricing everything – now the setup and hopefully a weekend of good weather (the forecast is saying otherwise). Whatever is now left in our home, will be going with us to Michigan – a good feeling to have.
The weather has been a complete roller coaster, just like our life, so we shouldn’t be surprised! From cold and rainy to 70 degree days, we tried to make the most of them all!
Mazy enjoys being creative, so anytime she wants to fingerpaint (despite the mess), I try to accommodate.
The “pig” at Wal-Mart is something she looks forward to seeing on a weekly basis if we have to go there. Unfortunately it costs 50 cents and I refuse to let her ride it b/c once she does, I won’t hear the end of it! Call me cheap or thrifty, but really, she just wants to see it – I don’t think she even knows that it moves! Whew! Is there still the penny ride at Meijer in Michigan?
With the nice weather again this past weekend, Mazy wanted to take her baby for a walk, but made sure I took the stroller too!
We were going to buy Mazy a tricycle, but our neighbors had a small bike they no longer needed, so we decided to have Mazy give it a whirl. She’s a bit small for it yet, but her feet can reach the pedals! I must say, she looks plenty adorable on it too!
Nice days also mean a walk to school to play on the playground! This girl has quite the bravery when it comes to slides – no stopping her, no matter how high they are (don’t let this pic fool you – there is another slide that is much larger that she went down like it was nothing!)
And then Mazy saw the water table. I found it to be a bit chilly to bring it out, but she insisted and I caved. Who can resist a child who wants to just be outside and PLAY outside? A girl after my own heart!
