What a week! Not necessarily what we expected, but often at the turn of a new week reminds me of the verse that says, “His mercies are new every morning.” And every week, my friends! We started the week off with Mazers hanging out with her cousins! While Dan was dropping me off in Ann…

  • What 14 Weeks Looks Like

This past weekend, Dan and I headed back to Michigan for a few days, to catch up with family and friends (another post to come). This trip I was particularly looking forward to because I have not seen my family since I found out I was pregnant. To be able to celebrate all over again,…

This past weekend, I was able to go to my first ever women’s conference – True Woman 2018, in Indianapolis! I have always wanted to go to one, but never have, with really no excuse. So when our church mentioned attending this one, we weren’t sure where my heart would be at, but I decided…

One last Christmas party on Saturday! Having the party a bit later in the holiday season was nice so that we had something to look forward to! Of course Mazy was all the more excited because that meant there was more wrapping paper to rip and presents to unwrap. We started the night off with…

Another week in the books! Already two weeks into the new year…crazy, huh? Since our life looks a “bit” more normal, we are getting motivated to continue working on little house projects. Our front coat/storage closet still had boxes from when we moved in it. I hadn’t touched them because I had no where to…

One last week’s worth of pictures from 2018! Here’s our dazzling princess, I mean Mrs. Clause… One thing Mazy LOVES to do is go to the special dollar store in Hudsonville. There is a plethora of items to look at, and with her $3.00, she wanted to go there and spend it! What joy I…

  1. Your pictures of the park brought me right back 65 years ago. It doesn’t look like the bed shell has changed at all. We certainly spent a lot of hours and have lots of memories of the park.
I also remember coming in after curfew one night and sneaking in through the basement door. When I got to the top of the stairs the door was locked and I was stuck in the basement. My parents disciplined me through that locked door more than once. I am again so happy that we had the chance to meet you and can share some of the home things with you. God bless you today and everyday. From Vicky the oldest sibling!

    1. Vicki, it was SUCH a pleasure to meet you! I had to chuckle at your story about sneaking in after curfew! That’s a GREAT idea to sneak through the basement, though it sounds like it backfired on you too :). They were smart parents :)! I too, am so thankful you took the time to stop by! ANYTIME you are in the area again, don’t be afraid to stop on over! It truly was a pleasure to meet you and what a sweet sweet family you are! Keep in touch, Vicki! And if you ever find any pictures of you and the fam in the old house, we’d LOVE to see them! Thanks Vicki
