Labor Day weekends for us, have looked different the past 2 years. The first I landed in the hospital for the weekend with heart failure and last year, in the ER, with you guessed it, heart failure. Shortness of breath, fluctuating heart rate, and symptoms, have made the last few years fairly memorable this time…

  1. Your pictures of the park brought me right back 65 years ago. It doesn’t look like the bed shell has changed at all. We certainly spent a lot of hours and have lots of memories of the park.
I also remember coming in after curfew one night and sneaking in through the basement door. When I got to the top of the stairs the door was locked and I was stuck in the basement. My parents disciplined me through that locked door more than once. I am again so happy that we had the chance to meet you and can share some of the home things with you. God bless you today and everyday. From Vicky the oldest sibling!

    1. Vicki, it was SUCH a pleasure to meet you! I had to chuckle at your story about sneaking in after curfew! That’s a GREAT idea to sneak through the basement, though it sounds like it backfired on you too :). They were smart parents :)! I too, am so thankful you took the time to stop by! ANYTIME you are in the area again, don’t be afraid to stop on over! It truly was a pleasure to meet you and what a sweet sweet family you are! Keep in touch, Vicki! And if you ever find any pictures of you and the fam in the old house, we’d LOVE to see them! Thanks Vicki
