Living in Michigan, I took it for granted often while growing up here, until we moved away. There is something about the fall colors in Michigan that is hard to compare! When we moved back, even though I missed a good chunk of fall last year, I so appreciated the vast number of colors that God displays through simple trees! Bright orange, bright red, bright yellow, still mixed in with the green ones. Hard to beat! This past week was such a fun week enjoying the almost 90 degree days, but then bundling up for warm campfires and hayrides. Couple that with a trip down to Ann Arbor twice this week for appointments and tests, I’d say it was a good and colorful tour this week!
Since it was almost 90, we decided to bring out the ole fishing poles one more time! And it was a success! 3 fish in the bucket!

Between appointments on Friday, we had some time to kill, so we decided to drive by one of my favorite places: The Big House! And I have to say, Michigan handed it to Wisconsin this weekend! Go BLUE!

Wednesday night we had to stay over night in Ann Arbor since I had to be checked in for my right heart cath at 7:30, and we didn’t want to have to get up THAT early to make the trek, so we decided to stay in a nearby hotel and take Mazers with us. It was the first time she ever stayed in a hotel and she sure lived it up! We got there around bedtime and thankfully it did not have a pool so that lure wasn’t there, but the best part was definitely jumping on the bed! She slept AMAZING, but sure enjoyed kicking, swatting, and cuddling with mommy, which made my night of sleep interesting, but it sure was cute watching her sleep!
Mazy came out of our bedroom saying she wanted to be like Mommy! This girl sure has style!
Saturday morning Mazy wanted to make cupcakes and this mama couldn’t say no, so as long as she was willing to help me, I was game! This girl is GREAT at separating the cupcake holders from each other…something I very much dislike doing!
You can’t make cupcakes without licking out the bowl!
