Around The Home
Back in September, I was uncertain what my health would look like in December, so I decided to get a head start on Christmas shopping and even though I feel pretty good, I’m enjoying the simplicity of Christmas instead of rushing about trying to get things accomplished. We have spent a lot of time at home and it’s been WONDERFUL! Definitely might try to implement this every year!
This week I go back to the U of M for some heart tests – ECHO and another holter monitor. I’m eager to see what they say because I would say my heart has improved drastically, but tests sometimes say something different. I’ve been fooled in the past, but I’m hoping my inklings are true! I probably won’t get the results back for awhile, but I sure am eager to hear what the reports say! Anyways, here’s what has been going on this past week!
Mazy loves to do crafts, and these dot markers are always a favorite!
On Wednesday night we visited our library’s community center where they had a model train set up. We went to go watch the trains a few times last year and it surely did not disappoint! The excitement Mazy had every time they came by, oh how I love to live life through a 3 year old’s viewpoint!
After the trains we went to go pet the reindeer…
On Friday night, we have the honor of being the master and mistress of ceremonies and reception for our dear friends! It was SUCH a FUN night, but unfortunately this is the only picture we have!
Mazy has such an incredibly creative mind! So Dan built a squirrel feeder by our bay window. Well, the squirrels like to eat the corn we put in there, and watch Mazy. Well, Mazy wanted this one squirrel to stay around, so she colored a cupcake picture for it, hung it on the window, then got her drum and played some songs to see if he would stay around. She was certain the squirrel would just love her music!
One thing you may not know about me is that I am OBSESSED with puzzles! If you remember, my family is often found doing a puzzle on family vacation, well it’s not something that ends for me on that vacation. I often have one out during the winter because I just can’t stop at one! That’s a way to my heart…puzzles!
I wish I could tag this with a heart! Love it!!!

I love puzzles too, and we try and have one out every Christmas. But with my recent surgeries on my leg, last year someone put up one two foot lit tree! And that was it! So I did have surgery again today, and we have Christmas boxes all over the house (and a little over a week ago Emily got married, and Ben and family were here!) but by jinx we may not have a tree this year, but we sure are having decorations! I love it!!! Hugs to you all!!!
Diane, Thanks for your message! I hope your surgery went okay yesterday! Oh puzzles are just so relaxing and so thrilling to make I think! Hey, you do the decorations that fit your time of life! Keep it simple because it’s that must less you’ll have to clean up later! What a CRAZY time of life for you all! My goodness! I’m sure you are quite drained and I hope you can find adequate rest the rest of this week Diane! Good to hear from you 🙂
