Around The Home
We had a pretty slow week looking back on the very few pictures I took! Mazy ended up with a decent cold and the weather wasn’t great once again in West Michigan, so we laid low this past week, which for a home-body girl, no complaints here. Mazy had fun playing with her cousins again, we went to a friend’s house for a playdate, “watched” her cousin play soccer (let’s be honest, Mazy just ran around…), and playing with Mommy!
As you’ve seen in previous posts, on Monday I met with a dietician to figure out ways to better regulate my glucose and potassium needs. Thankfully it isn’t too hard of a change, but definitely is taking some tweaking on the meal plan. I still eat my pizza, just not for every meal (granted I never did that, but I’m thankful I can eat that in moderation too).So far so good though! My last blood draw was the best it has been in a LONG time – like months to even a year! I think it’s a combination of a lot of things, but partially this new diet is a big reason too. SO THANKFUL because now the heart doctors can continue to increase my medications in hopes of getting this heart back to somewhat working order!
A meal sample – scallops (YUMMO and thank you Aldi), black bean salad, with a few multi-grain tortilla chips.
One of the many strange things about me is that I actually have two different colored eyes – one is green and one is blue. It’s not real noticeable, but nevertheless, true. Mazy has noticed and now draws pictures of me with one green eye and one blue eye! At first I thought she was just being creative, but then she reminded me that indeed I did have two different colors, in case I forgot, which I did!
