First Shot: CHECK
Call me wierd, but just thought I’d give ya a short update on today.
First shot: CHECK.
As 6:00pm was getting closer, I was getting more and more excited. Last night before we went to bed we both were geeked. Thankfully today we were extremely busy, which helped pass time. Seriously, why do they wait until between 6:00-8:00pm? Odd. Well, it was 6:10 and I told Dan “it’s time.” I got all the “ingredients,” Dan decided to take some pics, and in no time it was over.
I was all smiles too be honest. Who is ECSTATIC to give herself a shot? This girl! After drawing up the Lupron, I tried not to think about what I was about to do. After injecting it, I thought to myself “that’s it?” I’m thankful God has given me excitement and peace about it because getting worked up about it would’ve been worthless. The injection site does sting a tad and is a little tender, but I appreciate it because it’s a reminder of what God is doing and how far He has taken us.
Compared to me having to pack my pilonidal cyst site on my own, this was a piece of CAKE.
With frosting.
And as Dan always does in life, he made up a song after I was done :). This is how it went: “we be makin’ babies, we be makin’ babies” with a nice chant, hands in the air, and us high-fiving each other. That gives you just a taste as to how thrilled we are to be this far in the process.
We are like children.
Children who know that they are under their Father’s care and that we just have to follow in our Father’s footsteps.
