Heart Journey Update + Around the Home
Thought I would give a quick update on my heart journey first…
I received a call on Friday that my ablation had to be rescheduled and is currently planned for the end of March. There was a scheduling conflict with my doctor’s/surgeon’s schedule and so it had to be bumped. I’ll admit that I am quite bummed since I kind of have to get myself geared up for these things, but at the same time, I am at complete peace. I firmly believe that God may be protecting me FROM something, preparing me FOR something, and/or His perfect timing is in March. I know I can be disappointed and discouraged, but I can’t negate the fact that He always knows best and that hanging on a little longer will teach me a good ole lesson in patience as well. Now if I start to feel worse and can’t make it until then, I just have to call my nurse and we will get a plan together. I was given a date, but I am also on the cancellation list so they are hoping I get bumped to early in March, but there is no guarantee. So we are just hanging on tight for the ride and seeing where it takes us! Isn’t that so much in life though? The unknowns? How we can plan and plan, and then bam, they change? Yet one thing is always constant – God’s protection, love, care, grace, and sufficiency. We trust HIS process and know that in the end, it’ll be best.
HOW IS IT FEBRUARY ALREADY? Anybody else think that January flew by? Well, this past week consisted of a SNOW DAY! The first of the school year on Tuesday! Even though we had just had the weekend, it was so calming and restful to have a day at home, to play games, get some little things done around the house, and SLED:
We were out there quite early because Mazy just couldn’t WAIT to finally have enough snow again to go! I’ll admit it was freezing cold that day because the wind was blowing and the hill had yet to be sledded on, so it was all powder. At one point, Mazy looked up at me and she looked like Santa Claus with a white beard!
There was ice underneath the snow, so once you cleared a path, you SAILED down! We sure took a tumble down one time too after I lost steering control…it was one of those “let me just lay here a minute” moments 🙂
I love how much this girl loves to be outside:
I’ve been working several more hours at school so I haven’t been able to keep up on blog posts as much as I’d like to, but in case you missed it, here are 10 Ways to Save Money on Groceries!
