Have you ever looked at a pillow or couch and wonder “could I re-cover it?” I have so been there! There are times when I see such cute fabric and want to make a pillow out of it, but want it to look professional. I have yet to make a pillow with cording, but I…

It’s the subject that gets brought up often, but a question that doesn’t always come up. Will we have more kids? It’s a subject that I LOVE to talk about, but I think people fear to ask the question. How many kids do we plan on having? Will we adopt? Will Mazy have a brother…

  1. Very true. I am reminded of the Annie Leonard "Story of Stuff" videos: they make the same point that we are no closer to a meaningful life by making purchases of more stuff. I always try to think of that when shopping. Thank you for this posting!

    1. That is very true Tam :). I do think though, that some can look for the "glamour" of a very organized room, but do not do half of the projects that they have supplies for. It is sometimes a sad culture that we live in, yet thankfully not EVERYONE lives that lifestyle!

  3. Oh how very true!! We live in the environment that says MORE is better…and KEEP it for ME! It's a bit scarey to look at the generation we are raising and how they depend on stuff. Parenting my 8 year old right now is SO different from what my life as an 8 year old was. Trying to raise him to be Grateful and Thank God for all that he has and to give generously.

    1. You are right Teresa, I feel it is "different" than we may have been raised. At the same time, our parents still had those same desires and struggles that we have. But, that is why can stop the snow ball effect and decide TODAY, to not live up to what culture says we should. Thanks for sharing Teresa!
