Label Your Cords
Tip #11 – Label your cords
Sounds simple, but how many of us have cords in a box, stowed away in a drawer, or hiding in our basement, not knowing what they are for? You can either buy labels or use tape and a permanent marker to simply label each cord, so that you know exactly what it is for. It is frustrating when you have to plug in your cell phone and all you keep finding is the air mattress rechargeable cord. Or you may have multiple cell phone cords, but can’t seem to find the right one. Labeling is a must!
Kristin’s Action Plan: During a recent move, we found cords that we had absolutely no idea what they were to. We ended up putting them all in a box and as we unpacked, we figured out what needed a cord and what did not. When we found the corresponding cord, we labeled it. For example, the cords for my camera were always tangled up in our cell phone cords. I decided to put all the cords to recharge my camera and transfer pictures into a ziplock bag, labeled “Kristin’s Camera.” Now I know EXACTLY where to look when I need to give my camera a little boost.
