Last Day of School!
Last day of school! Many emotions encompass this day, for the both of us. The picture on the left is the first day of school and little did we know at the time, I was walking with leukemia. It was about 3 weeks later, I went into a heart procedure, thinking I’d only be taking a few days off from work. Then God opened our eyes to AML and it would take 6 months of intense treatment to fight it. I’m still so grateful to our school for taking me back. It was incredibly life-giving for me to be there! We can’t thank the school, her teacher, all the teachers, the principal, the ESS department, other parents, the secretary, and EVERYONE who supported our family through this journey!
We stand today as different people and our stories with another crazy chapter written. A chapter we never saw coming, but we are stronger because of it. I am so proud of sweet Mazy for all she endured this year. I’m sure our eyes will well up with tears of gratitude and humbleness for what God has brought us through.
May this day be the start of a summer that is filled with quality family time that is much needed after this all and time just spent in God’s creation and with His people. Praising God today for His graciousness in bringing us through and to this moment. ALL the glory to Him alone!
