Letting Go Of Routine
The road of life is not always an easy one. There are many hills to climb, valleys to work your way through. But through it all, it is worth it because it is all for GOD’S GLORY. Today someone called me and said that I should read the devotion for April 15 from the book JESUS CALLING. This person had read it and knew this is what we needed to hear. She is so right! God continually works out His plan for us daily – and even in the simplest of things. So I want to share it with you.
Trust Me, and don’t be afraid. Many things feel out of control. Your routines are not running smoothly. You tend to feel more secure when your life is predictable. Let Me lead you to the rock that is higher than you and your circumstances. Take refuge in the shelter of My wings, where you are absolutely secure.
When you are shaken out of your comfortable routines, grip My hand tightly and lok for growth opportunities. Instead of bemoaning the loss of your comfort, accept the challenge of something new. I lead you on from glory to glory, making you fit for My kingdom. Say yes to the ways I work in your life. Trust Me, and don’t be afraid.
I honestly feel sometimes as if nothing in our life is predictable. But then again, if it was, would I trust God? Would I really surrender every part of me to God? Dan and I sometimes feel like it’s just “us” trying to stay afloat. But really, we have so many people who truly do support us, love us, and give us an encouraging word when we least expect it. God HAS surrounded us with His wings – His wings of love. We HAVE to say YES to the ways God is working – because if we tried to do this on our own, we would give up. God is continuing to do amazing things in our life and we know he is not done yet! Things do feel out of control – well, it’s because THEY ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL! God is in control, not us. We need to let go of what is comfortable and cling to the treasures of God!
