Six months ago today, we were handed a little gift of life in our arms. A little life that has changed our lives in the most beautiful way. When we named our sweet girl Mazy Grace, we wanted it to be a testimony of God’s grace in our lives. Mazy has been all of that and more. The hope and answer to prayer that she has been, has us on our knees everyday in thankfulness for her.
Of course when you prepare yourself for a child, you have no idea what type of personality they will have. The moment she came out, the doctor said “she sure has a set of lungs on her!” Though that may be true, she also has a spunk about her that is unexplainable, until you meet her. She is goofy beyond words. Though I suppose she does get that from somewhere. She has a love for life that only causes us to love and cherish life even more. She lives each day to it’s fullest and knows that closing her eyes means she may miss out on something. She has taught us to live life with eyes wide open.
I feel the past 6 months have been going by at the right speed. We have tried to embrace and live in each moment, so that we don’t “miss” a certain stage or age. I feel we have accomplished that thus far.
So, sweet Mazy Grace, we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives with you. We praise God for you everyday. We praise God for the way He has changed our lives through you. We love you more than words will ever say. Thank you to your heavenly Father for choosing to make us earthly parents in such a miraculous way, to such a beautiful little girl.
I can’t help but smile everytime I see this smile!
Mazy was done at this point!
What? Another picture?
She loves this shirt! For some reason though, the dots won’t come off!
She is just the cutest girl ever! I love hearing about how much you adore her, and appreciate how cute she is. Some parents seem so blasé about their babies, and I wanted to just eat them up! I have four grown kids and having 9th grandbaby in Dec. You cannot imagine how EXTRA fun the grands are. (hint: ask your parents)
I've stalked your blog for years, but rarely comment. Not because I don't like it, but because I'm a slacker. 🙂 You do a great great job every post.
Thank you for your sweet comment! I love to hear from readers :). We know that each moment with her is just such a gift, so we want to embrace each moment! I am sure you know exactly what that is like, having 4 kids yourself (and now grandkids :)). Thank you for the encouragement as well. It is much appreciated!
