Organizing and Simplifying Your Bathroom
The Bathroom
I think it is very easy to gather bottle after bottle of who knows what, in the bathroom. We used baskets to keep everything separated on our shelves (ex. baskets for my stuff, meds, hair stuff, and the “everything else” bin). Before we knew it, those baskets were overflowing. I knew it was high-time to get rid of what we didn’t need. Here are a few thoughts:
Make-up
- Is it old? Do you ever use it? Pitch it.
- Is it your color? If not, pitch it.
Medicines
- Old? Pitch them (or dispose of them in the appropriate way)
- Are they have used? Will you EVER use it?
Other
- Do you have half empty bottles of stuff you never use? Throw it away or combine them
- Do you have an old hair straightener? Are you saving it for a rainy day? Speaking from experience!
- Are using stretched out hair twisties when you have new ones? Get rid of the old
- We have so many thingys of floss – I need to floss even MORE!
- Towels – do you use them all? Are some so stained you never use them? Get rid of them or cut them up into rags.
- How many lotions/moisterizers do you have? Do you really need that many?
Bathrooms take a lot of cleaning, but if you get a little behind on them, they can become a disaster!
