Peanut Butter Fingers
I am always looking for easy, quick, and satisfying 9×13 pan dessert recipes. I like 9×13 pan recipes because that means I don’t have to spend over 1/2 an hour taking pans in and out of the oven (like cookies). I can bake it once and be done. I am all about simplicity!
This PEANUT BUTTER FINGER recipe is one of the best I have. I’ve been making it for over 7 years and it never disappoints. These bars are very rich, so they go even further – cut them into small pieces and you will still find your food devourers satisfied.
Peanut Butter Fingers {Print Recipe}
Ingredients:
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 c. peanut butter
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 t. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. oatmeal
Topping:
- 12 oz. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1/4 c. peanut butter
- 2-4 T. milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cream together butter and sugars.
3. Add eggs and peanut butter. Stir until smooth.
4. Add remaining ingredients (except topping ingredients)
5. Mix until evenly blended.
6. Grease 9×13 and press mixture into pan.
7. Bake for 20 minutes.
8. Remove from oven and cover with chocolate chips; allow to melt then spread evenly.
9. Blend together powdered sugar, peanut butter and milk until smooth.
10. Spread topping mixture evenly over the melted chocolate chips, making a swirl pattern.
11. Cool, cut, and serve.
Tip: Cut bars soon after they are cooled, but before chocolate hardens. This prevents topping from cracking when you cut the bars.
ENJOY!
