Short BabieS Update
Oh what a joyous weekend it was! Still can’t wipe the smiles off our faces when we talk about our babies. Just SO SURREAL!
Brenda is doing well, but tired. She has slept quite a bit, but in a way it passes time as she was on bedrest. She is now able to walk around more, but still needs to rest. She is such a trooper! She is a very determined person and that is why I have never wondered what she’s up to. Give her a task, and she will do it to the best of her ability. We have now been over there 3 times since Saturday. Yeah, maybe a little pathetic, but honestly in our minds, it’s not. On Saturday (which there are pics of on previous post) and then yesterday quickly after church and then at night again. I decided to try church, though I still wasn’t feeling the greatest, but it was nice to finally get out of the house. I just couldn’t stand the thought of Brenda being at home, so we quick ran over there after church and before volleyball.
Side note: I had walked to the beach because I was thinking that walking might take away some of the cramping – oh did it ever! Yes I need to take it easy for 2-3 weeks, but taking slow walks helps the cramping immensely. Now the pain is more centrally located, which I am just fine with.
After volleyball, we knew Brenda still had to lay low so we thought watching a movie and pizza would be a good, so we headed there again. It was nice to just spend some time joking around, laughing, and just enjoying the moment. We just want to do so much to take care of her and her family! Right before we left last night she took my hand and put it on her stomach – ah, what a beautiful thought – that two lil babes are inside there!
Please pray for her as her shot is causing her some pain at the injection site. It is hard to see her in pain just because we know she is doing it for us. But pray that the pain subsides quickly.
Hope this next week goes fast as we anticipate the first ultrasound!
We are praying for you all! The strength that Christ gives in the face of trial and tribulation is not to be underestimated. May God continue to shine his face upon you.
In Christ,
The Van Beeks
Thank you Dan for your prayers and comment! You are SO RIGHT that God's strength can outdo ANYTHING. It is unmatchable and nobody can diminish it. I think of the cross :)! Even conquered death. What a gentle reminder you gave us Dan – thank you and know that it has made an impact on us!
