You May Not Have Thought Of…Silver Sharpie Labeling

Trust me, this goes against everything I was taught! Growing up, I was taught to sort my laundry. Towels with towels, sheets, and well, towels. Jeans with other dark items, on the permanent press setting. Whites with whites. I mean it’s pretty self-explanatory and really pretty easy. After Dan and I got married, as I…
If you were in conversation with someone and they mentioned someone’s name, what first comes to mind? What do you first think of, about that person? If someone said your name, what do you think they would right away think of? That is the question I kept thinking about after attending my husband’s grandma’s memorial…
The first thing I think of when I hear the word BLEACH is ruined clothes. Why, I am not sure because I don’t think I have ever ruined anything using bleach. Though I seldom use it because I am fearful of that very thought above: ruining something. What I have learned though, is that bleach…
Have you ever been with someone who is present, but not engaged? What was the reason? If I had to guess, it was probably their phone. Guilty as charged. When you think of the evolution of the smartphone, it has effected every relationship to some degree for the good and at times, for the bad….

That is awesome that you even labeled a chair – well, now you know where it is and no one can discreetly steal it! Love it and thanks for sharing!
This is genius. Thanks for the great tip! I took the advice and just silver sharpied my spices. Woot! Oh my goodness, this will save time and make it easy for everyone to see what they want. Great tip!!
Thank you! I am glad that you have been able to put this to use – it has made a HUGE difference in our home and it sounds like yours too 🙂
I really want to share how I do my spices, but it's sort of hard to explain. I'll give it a shot, and if you like the idea, I'll forward pix.
We took some trim 1/2"x2" and cut it to just under the width of a cabinet door. My sweetheart mounted them on the door with 1/2"x1/2" brackets. About an inch above the ends of each mounted piece of trim, he put a 2" metal bracket. Then we strung strong wire through the holes on the brackets, making a line between the two brackets just under an inch from the top of each piece of wood. That made a little retainer to hold the little plastic containers of spices–in alphabetical order. Make sense? I keep any extra amounts of each spice in the back of a bottom drawer, where nothing else ever goes. Works for us!

Awesome! Thank you Mary 🙂
